BREAKING THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE

Natascha's heart goes beyond business; it reaches out to heal wounds. As the founder and CEO of, I AM BLACK PEARL INC., she raises awareness of domestic violence and sexual abuse. 

Natascha's belief is that the color "Black" is synonymous with darkness and beauty, just as she believes that a "Pearl" is synonymous with elegance and grace. 

 
"In some of the most challenging moments of our lives, we can be in a state of complete darkness(black) and oftentimes, it's hard to see our way out.

I blamed myself for staying in an unhealthy and unsafe situation for as long as I did. I felt and thought of myself as unworthy, unwanted, guilty, ashamed and less than. I often wondered, why me? What was it about ME, as to why these things happened. To see yourself in the mirror like that is a hard pill to swallow, however, all I can say is, but God! 

For those of us who find the courage and strength to escape, once we truly forgive those who changed our lives and more importantly, forgive ourselves, only then can we begin the process of releasing and healing from our trauma.

Many years ago, when I looked back on those darkest moments, God allowed me to see and understand my potential, beauty, power and worth; At that point, this is when I became what I like to call "BLACK PEARL".  I overcame and I was no longer a victim, but a SURVIVOR! I know there are many silent victims but rest assured, there's help for you to move from being a victim to being a survivor. It takes strength, courage and perseverance but I did it and you can do the same!
